Microphones for Classical Guitar Recording

Post by rojarosguitar » Mon Feb 27, 2017 11:37 am

Our forum member Gabasa provides recently a service of modificating the AKG C460B microphones according to the famous Jim Williams modification schematic.

Jim Williams has ceased to offer this service. His modificated AKG C460B became famous and were favourably compared with the elite mics like DPA or Schoeps. They certainly belong to the absoulte top of the SDMs. Gabasa even took care of doing the modification with the best parts available.

The fidelity, spaciality and depth of these mics is absolutely phenomenal.

Here is a sample recorded with these mics:

If you are interested, please contact Gabasa directly. I have the most pleasant experience to deal with him.

Wow, that recording is utterly perfect, both the playing and the audio quality.
