Thanks. We can only please some of the people some of the time - first rule of performance :-) And that's absolutely fine by me. Have a nice day.

Beautiful tone! I love the sound you get in these three Aguado videos. Very intimate. I would love to hear the sound in person. Recordings just never do guitars justice.

Martin - many thanks. I haven't played a gig in years. Maybe next year...

Paul - I'm always amazed at how much repertoire we have which gets ignored. I love playing these valses. You can get the scores for free on the Boije site.

that was very fine. i enjoyed your playing and tone, especially the basses. entertaining piece.

it occurred to me, a musical novice, that this pieces has a bit of a novelty aspect, the open line in particular. it's almost as if some of the classical composers tried to find creative ways to somewhat disguise the harmony and set up the first time listener for a bit of a gotcha moment.

Cheers, mc1. They often do that. It's part of the fun in being a listener.

Really nice mate. Have to say the only difference I can make out (comparing you to a good "nail" piece) is the notes appear to sound more rounded; fuller bodied. I'm probably wrong here as I haven't much experience in both techniques but anyway nice playing and a nice piece.

Ahhhh, it's all smoke and mirrors.... trickery I say.... you can't play without nails, blasphemy!

Nicely done Mr. MacKillop. I always enjoy your playing.
