Hello from Texas!

Post by Tom Moreno » Tue Jan 03, 2017 7:02 am

Hi Everyone!

Happy New Year!

Let me start by confessing my shamefully inconsistent history with guitar. I am in my mid-40s and I have always loved guitar & classical music in general but never made the time to practice or learn anything more than a few song intros. It actually wasn't until last January when a leg surgery forced me to remain fairly immobile that I finally made the commitment to practice. I have been grateful for that decision ever since! In fact, I purchased my first quality guitar this past year because of the effort, a Martin OOO-16GT. Recently, I have wanted to learn to play some of the pieces I enjoy from folks like Agustin Barrios, Manuel Ponce or even Isaac Albeniz. While I don't have a classical guitar (yet) my hope is that this next step in my guitar journey will continue to fan the flame and lead me down a whole new hallway full of doors to open.

Thank you in advance for your patience with what I am sure will seem like silly questions-- I love to read though so I promise to read previous threads first! :)

Tom
