Salutations from Lichfield. Using guitar as crutch to get through life. It's not good for the instrument, so I try not to lean heavily. Truly, it's the only time I relax when I'm playing. Self taught, although I reached grade 4 piano in my feckless youth. Now middle aged. Attractively balding, and enjoying a lot of poor health, playing keeps me in a vague approximation of sanity. About 17 years ago,I took a group of the village people (our village, don't judge) Through Trinity college exams, with some gratifying results - they were by and large less feckless than myself. Now I am attempting to build up a repertoire of standard and South American material.

I own one of Roger Williams earlier instruments, a Torres type which has developed a gorgeous tone particularly the trebles, but is very even across the range. Now that my hearing is deteriorating, and arthritis, I need something with a bigger voice. So I am passing that instrument on to my son who plays well, and will enjoy it.

I am interested in collaborating with anyone in the locality, and would particularly like to duet or ensemble. Failing that, drink beer and dissemble.

By now you will have had ample of my society.

Ed
