Hello from Dayton Ohio USA

Postby Jim McCutcheon » Sun Mar 19, 2017 9:52 pm

I'm happy to be back here - after a several year lapse. I'm Jim McCutcheon, career guitarist and teacher at the University of Dayton, Wright State University and Miami University in Ohio.

I also own and operate a music store/teaching facility with my wife, Debbie where we have about 50 teachers of all instruments.

I host a weekly radio program titled "The Intimate Guitar" on Discover Classical (Dayton Public Radio) and some college FM stations.

I am the Guitar Adviser to the National Federation of Music Clubs Festival Bulletin, and am very involved in teaching the guitar to children.

I often do CD reviews for Soundboard, and have lectured three or four times at the GFA Conventions.

My first degree is in physics, and I enjoy going to schools (K-12) and doing assemblies and workshops on the science of music.

Looking forward to contributing here!
