Hello from London On

Post by Streuer17 » Sat May 06, 2017 11:46 am

Hello

My name is Robert.
I have played guitar, electric, steel acoustic, nylon and bass.
Since 12, in grade school, high school, orchestra, two bands.
Moved solely to classical in early twenties.
Have been infrequent for years until a year ago,
Have been going seriously since then, feeling very good with results and effort.
At 57 with many hobbies, I am making the time everyday
to practice with specific goals.
Memorization is one and lately its like a switch was turned on, it has taken off.
Added a arm rest and support recently from Kris Barnett
and its been a bonus.
Been trying different strings, but I keep going back to
Savarez and their different styles.
I am currently playind a 2004 cedar walnut Raiumundo.
The guitar continues to grow in its own voice.
Am looking at a Spruce top , when I get to a level I am shooting for, possibly a luthier one close by.
Thanks everyone
Regards
Robt

I can highly recommend the Adalid Hauser as a great spruce guitar.

Hi Gary
Beautiful sounding, I am assuming that video is you,
May I ask what piece that is you played?
What mic recording set up is it?
I am going to use my iPhone to record video, but need
a good mic for true sound.
Regards
Robt

Hello, it's Lagrima by Tarrega, the mic is the irig studio mic a fantastic bit of kit. It plugs straight into your iPad or iPhone.

Hi Robert,
I'm in the neighbourhood - St. Thomas.
Do you ever go to the Toronto classical guitar events? There was a guitar weekend in April - luthier fair, concerts, lectures, etc.
There's also a classical summer program up in Sauble Beach in August.
