I bumped into this forum on and off since while googling guitar topics, so I thought I might as well introduce myself here.
I picked up the guitar as a 16 years old. I played enthusiastically for about 10 years, folk, songs, classical, rock, I tried it a lot, had some teachers, played steelstring, nylon, electric.. Then I stopped as more energy went into my carreer start as a sound engineer. ..
2 years ago I felt the music was missing, unpacked my old Washburn and since then I can't stop. My "experimental frame" is now acoustic steel string fingerpicking. I know most here like nylon. My strongest guitar Idol is John Renbourn, his music, his selection and sources are just what I like.
I started recording my music a year ago, first as a documentation for myself and to work on what I want with music, sound and feel. As a tribute to those great guitarists. And then I found unexpected motivation through sharing those on soundcloud.
Recently I have posted my rendition of Bach's 1st violin partita Sarabande, working on the Double now.
I’m looking forward to participate in this forum!
