US $..800 Yairi 5037 cedar 1973, Atlanta, GA

- Type / luthier: classical / Kazuo Yairi
- Year of construction: 1973
- Scale length (mm): 664
- Top: cedar
- Back / Sides: brazilian rosewood
- Fingerboard / (bridge): ebony
- Sound: warm and bright
- Condition: excellent
- Price: &800
- Viewing / trial possible: yes
- Location (nearest city): Atlanta, GA

This beautiful vintage Yairi classical guitar is in excellent condition. It has only some minor scratches and chips that are not easily noticeable. The original finish is still shining like a new guitar. As a faithful Ramirez 1A copy, this 5037 model was the top of the Yairi classical guitar line in the early 70s (before CY series were introduced). I attached the pics of 1973 catalog and it says the price of this model was $575, which is roughly equivalent to $3000 today. It was much more expensive than 5036 model ($375, indian rosewood back & sides). This 5037 model has solid cedar top, Brazilian rosewood back & sides, ebony fretboard. Original tuners. Original bone nut and saddle. New D'addario strings. The action is standard 4mm / 3mm, as a picture demonstrates. Scale length is 664mm. Nut width is 51mm. The nut is narrow and the neck is slim (like today's Cordoba guitar) so that you don't feel it's a long scale guitar. Very easy to play. No buzzing no matter how hard you play. Perfect intonation. To be sure, its sweet and warm Spanish sound is similar to Ramirez, but the trebles are brighter. The volume and sustain are excellent. In one of the pics, my finger indicates the top's center seam line where two piece of top wood meets. It's barely visible. You can feel it with your finger, but it's not a wood crack. So, nothing can be done unless you re-finish the guitar. A hard-shell case (not original) in excellent condition is included. Paypal only. The shipping cost depends on your location. In the case of return, they buyer pays the return shipping. Feel free to ask any question. This guitar is also available at r e v e r b.c o m

Really, is this spoken for yet?
Coffee Roasting is like classical guitar, part technique, part art.
Without both the end result works, but never reaches what it could be.
