US $.4000 Achim Gropius cedar 2009, Whitefish, Montana

Post by Dofpic » Fri Jul 24, 2015 3:00 pm

2009 Achim Gropius Cedar/Honduran rosewood.
650 scale
moderately elevated fretboard.
Excellent condition
$5,500
Trial possible.
BAM Case
This guitar has a deep, dark, alluring sound. It is quite powerful with deep basses and strong trebles. Projection is as good as any guitar I have ever played. It plays super easy and is excellent craftsmanship. I am selling because I have too many guitars this is too good of an instrument to not be played. Here is a picture from the dealer I purchased it from. I can send pictures if you PM me. I am the original owner. BAM case is an older one but still great protection.

I know Achims guitars, he is my friend and a neighbour. I can recommend especially this model Cedar/Honduran very much. The sound is really exquisite.

I have some good pics of this guitar so if anyone wants them pm me and I can email them unless someone can give me directions on how to attach them from my iPhone. I just played the guitar and it is very strong with great basses and very strong trebles with Augustine regal trebles. You play the first movement of Le Cathedral and they really sing and sustain beautifully.

Strange, that this guitar has not attracted more attention so far. I can confirm that Achim Gropius builds great cedar guitars with Honduran rosewoos b & s. Mine, built in 2007, is full bodied instrument with boomy basses, but with good balance as well and a transparent tonal character, just as the one Dofpic described above. I have sold mine as well, but only to co-finance a new spruce guitar built by Fritz Ober.

I am dropping the price to $4800. A great buy for a unique deep cedar! That plays like butter.

I am now dropping to a final price of $4,000. If you want a great cedar that plays like butter then this is a terrific buy. If no one buys it before the end of the year then I will gift it to a local university for their guitar program.

That's a great price for a Gropius. You can't go wrong with that guitar.
