Something that I've found very good for me and very motivational is to do CG music exams. Find roughly the level you think you are at and enrol and work towards the exam. For me, it provides structure, goals and plenty of motivation. Without it I feel I'd be a little like you feel in your original post, a little lost and without direction. 12 months ago I enrolled in grade 3 (AMEB) and did the exam in Nov, then I moved onto grade 4 and just finished the exam last week (got an A !). I'm now about to start on grade 5. Overall it provides a well rounded syllabus of technique, aural, sight reading and repertoire. I would highly recommend it.
