The simplest yet most beautiful piece I know of. There's mp3 and score there.

Hans
I agree, Zohourian has some beautiful, very simple pieces!

You'll probably grow out of that.

Hi everyone, I´d like to add "Six Divertissments" from Sor Op.2 . The # 1 Menuetto is really short, simple and sounds beautiful. So far I´ve taken note of varoius pieces suggested in this post. Kind Regards

This subject is alive and well;, but most of all, it is an excellent reference for gentle beautiful pieces.

I don't know if someone mentioned Jean Marie Raymond, I found almost most of his pieces (most of them his own compositions) are well arranged and the melodies and harmonies just simply superb. Most of all, they are not too difficult to play. I haven't been too active in the forum from trying all his works :)

U-tube is full of some of his samples.

Has anybody mentioned 'Torija" by Moreno-Torroba? I have picked it up again and it sure fits the desription 'gentle and beautiful piece'. I love it!

My first teacher, Larry Snitzler, has a lovely youtube recording of this and the following piece from Castles of Spain, Manzanares el Real. They really go beautifully together.

Torija is one of those pieces that seems relatively easy to play, but really demands expression to play it well. I am trying to get there.

Yes this is a beautiful piece... gentle and friendly. Cyrloud plays a nice one!
