Taking a girl to a classical music concert as first date. Good idea?

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

The answer is "yes", so long as the concert is not "A Celebration of Brian Ferneyhough".

Just don't take her to King Crimson gig. I had to watch my date drool over Bill Bruford's torso for an hour or two.

an advice for people who want to bring a date to music concert/recital...

if you play an instrument say the piano or classical guitar .. don't bring her to a piano or classical guitar recital.. because later on she may ask you to play something for her... well you know the rest... unless you're talented performer soloist...

Why don't you let her decide what to do? She might prefer a rock concert.

This make a LOT more sense!!! Finding out ahead of time what you like mutually is the way to go for sure... a classical thing might be a complete snooze for her...
