I really love this forum, but I was wondering if anyone knew of some other forums like this one that was geared more towards flamenco. :?:

I visited there briefly and in my view it's a horrid place. Aggressive, nasty responses made me leave pretty quickly. The mods there, is they have any, tolerate nastiness and aggression.

NOT recommended!

I found that forum in my search for informations on some luthiers and guitars. Informations that I found there were of help in my search, and this is why I thought that the link to that pages may be of help. I did not read that forum a lot, so if it is not as it should be - please, accept my apologies.

Jacek

Absolutely no need to apologise. You answered the OP's question and I am sure there is some good information there. I just don't appreciate the attitude of too many people and loose moderation.

Regards
Peter

Thank you for understanding, Peter ! yes, the atidude and atmosphere is very important, no doubt. But sometime one may find "the precious gem in the mud" as poet would say :)

I like it :) it's personality is different...just like flamencos lol! Anyway, I've learned a lot there just as I have here. I wonder if there are other forums for flamenco, though?

I think http://www.foroflamenco.com is worth checking out. You don't have to participate - thus saving yourself from some burns, perhaps, as it is a a bit of a rough love place for newcomers. However, it has loads of wonderful information.

There is also http://www.oldschoolflamenco.com/ (they used to be one place but split at some point because of internal politics), but that place is pretty much dead in terms of current activity. However, it is a good place to mine for information posted through the years.

Hello StGeorge,

I check http://www.foroflamenco.com/ everyday (like I do here) to find bits of information. I do not interact much on that forum because I am very green on the performing aspects of flamenco. But as Jacek said you may find "the precious gem in the mud," no need for much input on your part. If you can read Spanish, here are a couple of other foros: http://www.flamencoenmalaga.es/foro-flamenco.php http://guitarra.artepulsado.com/foros/index.php Good luck! If you find any others, please let us know.
