it is time for me to leave this nice forum for good

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

Hi Andrei,
I hope you get this message. I will miss you a lot on this forum. I don't do everything you say. For example, my bsck hurts when I stand in one position for a long time (I can walk longer) so playingnstandingup would not work for me, but I am always interested in hearing you "talk" about it. I enjoy a lot of your opinions. I think a lot of us feel like aliens in life sometimes, but in your case I have always liked you and respected you.

So some folks may not agree with you, welcome to that club.
It all adds to the variety here and it's interesting to get different perspectives.
Good to hear that you'll still be around.
Getting better bit by bit, day by day.

I too enjoy your posts and will be sad not to see them.

Life on a forum is an interesting conundrum. People come and go. Some relationships build up that last outside the forum. But like every pastime, forums have a lifespan in any person's life. For whatever reasons, you find something else that is more attractive and move on. It is a perfectly natural cycle.

So when anyone moves along, I am a little sad to see them go but appreciate the message, and hope that life outside the forum treats them well.

Who doesnt, never ever, feel a foreigner in his own ground is a complete loser (or is living a psycho-nazi regime).
Remember Albert Camus.

You helped me! I couldn't practice for more than 30 minutes, my back would get sore. You gave me the confidence to put a strap on my (to me) expensive classical guitar. I can now play standing or sitting for as long as I want. Thank you for that, and good luck with whatever you do.

Andrei wrote 3 thoughtful, lengthy posts last Thursday, on 2 different topics, just a week or so after saying he was taking a break from the forum. Good to see you are still around Andrei. :D

Yes ... I will stay... just will scale out my activities here.
Thanks again!
I'd better speak by music...Please listen it on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, etc. Thanks!

Maybe there should be a sub-forum similar to "Introduce Yourself" that is for people announcing they're leaving. If you try to post about your departure in, for example, Public Space, the moderator could come along and tell you to go to the "I'm leaving the forum" section.

I also think it would be nice if some schmaltzy background music automatically played as the OP makes his/her case for why they're leaving.

As suggested above, maybe a break will do you much good and make you reconsider. In any case, I wish you luck in your endeavors.

I guess it happens to a lot of us - oddly similar experience... forum fatigue? after all is it a waste of time to write to "unknown" folks? Are they real? Am I real? ...
Somehow I'm sure you will miss these 1,000s voices who are genuine, sometimes opinionated, but real folks who share the same passion.
You're right, step back, breath, recharge and see if the addiction comes back. I'm sure it will :-)

See you soon!
