Do you care what your car looks like - Are Honda Crv's ugly?

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

I bought my daughter a 4wheel drive CRV when she was in college at Appalachian State, in Boone,NC. They get quite a bit of snow. She is still driving it, fifteen years and about 200,000 mi later....and she really likes it!
Could it be that she is waiting for you to buy her that replacement?

This is my "ugly" car still in pristine condition which is due for scrape in less than 2 months time. Unfortunately for us here in Singapore, we can only own our cars for 10 years.

You'll probably get used to the ugliness and not think much of it. What's important is find one in excellent mechanical condition with no rust. How many timing belts have you had to replace in your Forester and what did it cost each time? You won't need to do that anymore since CRV's have a timing chain. They are not totally problem free. From what I've read, there are issues with the timing chain tensioner in certain situations. Do your research before buying one.

All cars are ugly, are a scourge on humanity (which would be much better off sharing time on trains, if such transportation is an actual "necessity",) and should be banished to the scrap heap of human history, to be replaced by an international system of national water slides...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I own a Nissan Juke, which I love :D And I also love the fact that nobody has a neutral opinion regarding its look 8) I bought it last summer, so it is my first winter with it, and so far I am quite impressed by its performances; yes it is a AWD, but it is tiny, so I am impressed by its stability on snow, or under strong winds.

There's a Juke in my neighborhood - dark gray with the orange accents. That really stands out. I'm not exactly sold on the look but I like that it is different.

I had an S10 pickup, white with black trim, that got a few complements for appearance (the matching campertop helped).

The Element is silver with the base trim, including the mat plastic fenders and steel wheels - giving it a solid utilitarian look (in my opinion).

The CRV in the first two generations had the square back of most SUVs of the time, with exterior spare. But they were also quite recognizable. Now, without the exterior spare, the CRV looks pretty much like other SUVs. You have to look for the badge to tell it from a RAV, SantaFe or one of the Lexus models.

I like aesthetically pleasing cars. That doesn't mean they have to be beautiful, but right kind of interesting. For example Land Rover mk.1, Tempo Matador or Fordson 7V aren't exactly beautiful but they all are very appealing in a way. I don't find that in new cars and I'd rather drive a Lada 2102 than anything new on the market.

Yes, a Honda Crv is really ugly. You should consider buying a Sebring-Vanguard CitiCar instead ;-)

No, it is not tiny. :-)

These are tiny but certainly not the tiniest around: "Axiam City Pack"
One version has a 6kw diesel. Electric motor available.

They have a "panel van" too which I find really neat. "Mega MultiTruck"

Check them out on your favorite search engine. The company was bought not too long ago by a US vehicle company.

Believe me, it may not be a Smart or a Chevy Spark, but in the prospect to drive outside cities areas in Quebec winter it is tiny. But reviews gave good comments about winter drive, and it is AWD on demand, and I LOVE that car and its unusual looks. Last fall I already noticed it was very stable under strong lateral winds - I could hear the wind blowing, but I felt almost nothing.

It's funny how a nice looking vehicle can make ugly people not so ugly. I see it all the time. For example, if I see an ugly person driving an old beat up Ford Escort I can think "Wow that poor person is ugly!", but if I see that same person in a Lamborghini I'll think "Wow, that person is hot!"

I just inherited my father's Ford C-Max Energi. It is a plug in hybrid. I like it because it is paid for and has only 15,000 miles. My husband hates it because it is ugly and wants to trade it in on another car. I guess I am willing but it seems a waste. I think it is ugly too, but I have been driving a 1998 Audi (inherited from my mother) -- lovely car, but at that age it is nice having something new-- ugly or not. Yes, the Audi is pretty and I will be sad selling it but ugly and practical feels perfectly fine to me. I like the gas mileage on the C-Max.

Back in 2010 a team of Smart's drove the Dempster to Inuvik. They got quite a bit of press in the auto mags and even CBC.

I would buy another Forester if it wasn't for HEAD GASKETS and OIL CONSUMPTION in the newer models. I need an AWD vehicle for around $12000 max!
