Santa came and went...what did you get?

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

Shoulder surgery, new pillows, some nice cologne. A new bow tie and Apple Ear pods, the bees knees. I can leave my IPhone upstairs and walk all through the house listening to music..
Jack, here wishing you a speedy recovery from your shoulder surgery. Happy New Year!

I spent the day cleaning ash off my patios and vehicles due to the Thomas Fire. My wife had the flu so we had to cancel our engagement to have dinner with some friends. They did bring me some of the dinner, homemade cioppino and caesar salad.

A six-pack of Guiness. Pure Genius! I've just finished the last one tonight.

And some ham. I don't get much ham through the year, so I make up for it during the holidays.

And chocolate! Masses of chocolate! I'm choco with chocolate! My teeth will all fall out. And if I ever lose my mouth, all my teeth, north and south, that's if I ever lose my mouth ... I won't ever have to kiss another baby, will I? :D

hot cross buns
I too am one of those who'd like hot-cross buns (cross optional, spices not) all year round (I have friends who find the idea abhorrent), toasted and dripping with butter. I think the statins would cope, but the weight would soar.

(I didn't get anything for Christmas, but we'll scour the January sales)

für Andreas777 ... Ich mag Schokolade sehr, aber bei einer homöopathischen Dosis (nur eine Schokolade nach der anderen) ... du kannst mir deine schicken, ich werde es sehr gut machen! :merci:
Tschüss !
Hi Isabelle, I also like chocolate but I can only eat the lactose free chocolate :( I guess you live to far away, so I have to find some kids in the neighborhood who are interested in my chocolate santa clauses.

Fat ... I got fat. My son and I made a huge amount of hot cross buns, popcorn balls, sugar plums, jam, persimmon muffins. And on top of all that, we made a Christmas Breakfast feast for the extended family of eggs, sausage, ham, pancakes, fruit, and much more ... I am now eating up the leftovers. Yeah. I got fat for Christmas. :D
I thought hot cross buns were for Easter?

1929 Francisco Simplicio ... (Christmas came early)

I thought I might get a loan of a 1929 Simplicio. Seems Santa missed that. Maybe a New Year’s option?

I’d offer a fair prisoner exchange for a week....

Cheers

I got a sixties Jose Ramirez 1A peghead blanca - in mint condition, formerly owned by Sabicas. And then I woke up.

I don't have mine yet ... but "the boss" says that I may commission a new instrument. So, what to choose?

It does state in the Laurel Kitchen Bread Book that they serve hot cross buns at Easter. But I don't think they are limited to a particular season. In our family, we have always baked them up during the Christmas Season.
