Welcome To The Cafe

Postby Florentin Tise » Wed Nov 30, 2005 9:30 pm

Here is the newest section of the forum. Thank you Mr. Delcamp!

While in here, you may talk about subjects that do not necessarily relate to music or the guitar.

Make sure you remember that the rules of the forum apply in here too.
Be nice, and no political or religious debates.

Enjoy! :D

Hi all... This is so good... I hope to chat to you all about anything and everything... and drink gallons of coffee while I'm at it :cafeine:

Isn't that what cafes are all about

Cheers

PS. Can we order 'food' as well?

Hello, folks
have coffee, will burble inanely on any subject you care to dredge up.....

here's a thought I had recently while listening to the MP3s that we all obviously work so hard to get posted;

we can't all be maestros (with some noteable exceptions), therefore most of us will need to have several goes at getting our recordings to postable standard, yes?

It follows, then, that there must be any number of out-takes floating around on peoples hard drives, some of which may be more or less amusing to ourselves. Now I don't have a problem with humour in music - if it's good enough for Frank Zappa it's good enough for me.

I think by now it's obvious where I'm going with this, and call me a phillistine, a pleb, whatever you like, but it's only a thought.

Don't flame me too much, it's only chat

Hey Boulderburns, you're right!
I still remember GuitarTim's MP3, posted here, where he failed the last note... and growled in hanger just before the recording finished.... it was so amusing!

99% of my recordings end up in the middle of the song with my hand slapping all the strings, after I failed to pluck the proper string or buzzed a chord (Audacity, at that point, properly draws a steep and harsh mountain instead of a graceful wave, and suddenly I hit the stop button).

Hey Boulderburns... Cardamomo... are you guys going where I think you're going?
Are we talking an out takes section here

What a hoot :grire: :grire: :grire:

And this from someone who can hardly bear to post a decent piece.
(I can't believe I'm saying this)

"to boldly go where cg has never gone before......."

"it's cg, Jim, but not as we know it...."

"may the farce be with you......."
C'mon folks, you know it makes sense!
Hosting constraints aside, it's worth not dismissing out of hand, but considering, however briefly, eh? :guitare: :titanic:
