What music are you listening to right now?

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

My favorite Scarlatti on guitar disc. Superb playing, use of colors and dynamics--words fail. All that plus fantastic sound. A pity it's out of print.

Are you referring to a Scarlatti album by Segovia? I'd like some information, please.

The Ponce/Scarlatti Gavotta, together with Domenico Scarlatti's Sonata L 79, are available in a beautifully remastered 2CD set from DG called "Segovia - The Great Master".

I have re-discovered classical guitar music and am at the moment totally enthralled by Giorgio Signorile's gorgeous sound paintings on his "Reflessi" and Jan Depreter's virtuoso display on his album "Wit".

:-? I think the picture you're referring to has been replaced by an 'Image' text placeholder. Stephan Schmidt's album is available on Amazon used anb as MP3s. Very good, indeed.

Yes, the site upgrade caused Big Brother to negate images taken from Amazon! It is out of print but not unobtainable.

Not bad but their 2nd album is my favourite, or rather, one of my favourite albums ever - Once around the world - were a good band (disbanded now aren't they?)
Yes, that album was, by far, my favourite too, especially the mini opera title track 'Once Around The World'.

My interest in them waned when Frank Dunnery, the front man, moved on.
Frank has recently popped up on YouTube playing some of the old It Bites favourites.
All the good music has already been written by people with wigs and stuff.

I'm going to be an absolute rebel here as I'm currently listening to AC/DC Live at River Plate

William Walton's Symphony No 1.

So far, part way through the first movement, it fits in the 'loud, excited' category of orchestral music. We'll see it develops!
