What music are you listening to right now?

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

"Roan Mountain Suite," by the Kruger Brothers & Kontras Quartet. I bought the cd at Merlefest, and heard them play it live at Hillside Stage. If you've never heard a banjo playing classical music, buy this cd. .....you will enjoy it!

At the moment I listen to some songs of Café del Mundo, a German (flamenco/classical) guitar duo. This evening I will see them live in a concert here in Germany where they will play their own interpretation of Manuel de Falla.

John Coltrane life in concert (Sky Arts Jazz concerts) on the TV.
Sean Shibe playing Arnold, Bach, Guilani, Villa Lobos, Dowland and Albeniz (free CD from a Classical Music magazine a year or 2 ago) on the CD player in the kitchen.

At the moment I listen to the brand new Rocío Márquez CD Firmamento. One of the items on my bucket list is to meet her, maybe talk to her, and listen to her beautiful voice in concert.

I'm listening to a Tangerine Dream compilation CD which has tracks from their late 80s albums. TD is one of the bands that I've been listening to since being a teenager. I think I have something like 20 of their albums, more than any other artist.

Spent yesterday listening to Lemon Jelly.

I used to have Radio 3 on all day, every day, 30 years ago, but I can't stand it any longer. I switched it on a few days ago for some quiet background music at 7AM, then suddenly realised half an hour later that the irritation I was feeling was being caused by a brass band rendition of Vaughan Williams' bloody English Folk Song Suite hammering away at my semi-consciousness. It was as bad as listening to military marches at 7.30 in the morning. Even the frigging military don't do that! They are currently playing Hugo Alfven's Swedish Rhapsody. No thanks! I suppose they think people want blaring music to wake up by. NEWSFLASH: THAT'S WHAT COFFEE IS FOR!
