Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

Steve More - Structural Damage

From the man who gave us Carry on my wayward son (well he played the riff at least)

I came across Blackmore Night's rendition of Ocean Gypsy -- would really like to learn to play that song . . .
Whenever I am not ready for my music lesson, I call it 'facing the music'.

I currently have these new 2016/2017 albums on my iPhone that I've been listening to over and over again for about a week. They're really great and I've discovered more about them on each listen which is the mark of a great album for me. If any of you have been listening to any of these please post your thoughts! :D

Caipi - Kurt Rosenwinkel

Emily's D+Evolution - Esperanza Spalding

A Moon Shaped Pool - Radiohead

Folk Songs - Kronos Quartet with various Folk Singers

Il Falco Bianco - Gavin Greenaway

Chris Thile and Brad Mehldau (mandolin and piano)

Silva - Snarky Puppy and the Metropole Orkest

Wow what an impressive piece!!!! It has a real orchestral grandeur to it and looks crazy difficult! Thanks for sharing.

:merci:

The composer sells this score and others on his website for those interested

He played that at the 2017 GFA. My front row seat provided quite a view!

A new name to me, but man, what a blazing virtuoso! All 3 works are immensely challenging, but Sierra's is a tour-de-force. Fantastic sound from this 24 bit/96k download.
