What music are you listening to right now?

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

revisiting the late string quartets of Beethoven, switching back and forth between the Busch quartet recordings and Emerson. Also listening to the guitar sonatas of Dusan Bogdanovic, which are uniformly fantastic overall, but the numbered ones are particularly compelling to me.

Beethoven--cello and piano sonatas and variations. Wonderful! And Mompou, Musica Callada. this last is a series of small pieces for solo piano; very quiet. A few ideas are explored in each piece. I like it.

I was just listening to forum member Amy Lake (Amy3000) on YouTube play Birds Flew Over the Spire. I love listening to other forum members. It gives me hope that I can do it too🐸

Balsam Range's new Christmas cd. My wife and I went to the "Art of Music Festival," which was sponsored by Balsam Range, at the Lake Junaluska Conference Center this past weekend. The auditorium seats 1600 people, and it was full. There were concerts Friday and Saturday nights, and workshops during the day Saturday. Instead of attending any of the workshops, we spent the day at Biltmore House, about 20 miles from there, in Asheville. It was decorated for Christmas, and it was gorgeous. Balsam Range.....which is a bluegrass group....partnered with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra on the new cd. They played it Saturday night. :)

In an interview on The Magical Mystery Tour Ringo says, "we included Ivor Cutler because of all those great records he'd made," but I wonder if Ringo was thinking of the records Cutler has made since then. This was pretty much all Cutler had done at the time: -
