A Bojangles "grilled filet" biscuit. I don't eat at fast food places very often, but I did not feel like cooking this morning.

A wee oatcake with some butter. I do enjoy an oatcake from time to time, sometimes with cheese as well as or instead of butter.

I made a parfait....sliced strawberries, then a layer of Greek yogurt, blueberries, a layer of yogurt, sliced bananas, another layer of yogurt, then some granola. MMMM!!!

Half of a doughnut...my wife got the other half. A salesman for a pipe company just dropped by for a visit, and he brought an assortment of doughnuts. He usually gives me a stack of scratch pads when he comes, so doughnuts were a pleasant surprise.

Half of a large Omelette Arnold Bennet (Jane Grigson's recipe). It's easier to make a large one and serve half each, rather than serve up one, then serve up the second when my wife has eaten half of hers...

And properly smoked haddock, undyed, is essential, of course!

I have just finished breakfast. I simmered some chopped onion, bell pepper, mushroom, tomato and basil in a little olive oil. I stirred it once. Then when it was about half cooked, I cracked two eggs on top of it and sprinkled plenty of feta cheese on the eggs. I don't stir it again....just let the eggs cook on top of the veggies until the cheese begins to "relax." It will all slide easily out of the skillet. I had one slice of buttered rye toast and a strong cup of Sumatran coffee with it. It was a very good breakfast!
