:) A slice of "sour cream pound cake." The youth of our church had a bake sale this morning, and I bought a cake and a "Nestle Toll House" pie.

(I wonder if that means as much to the Americans as it means to the British?)

A salad of kale, cherry tomatoes, carrot, blueberries, slivered almonds, blackberries, & mango, topped with a piece of baked salmon and several grilled shrimp. .....with a glass of merlot.

An apple as second breakfast. But tonight I will prepare something more substantial for the family. Carne cruda, the Italian version of steak tartare, finely chopped with two knifes, prepared very simple without egg york, cornichons, capers and majonnaise. Just some olive oil, lemon juice, nutmeg, salt and pepper - as the people in Piedmont love it. Accompanied by a salad and crunchy baguette. Not to forget a glas of Barolo.

One of my weird breakfasts! .....1/2 cup of uncooked 3-minute oatmeal, with peanut butter, raisins and dark chocolate chips mixed in. .....and a cup of strong, black coffee to help it go down! LOL

Haven't decided yet. It will either be boiled potatoes and pickled herrings or supermarket teryaki chicken and rice.

I don't know your position towards Hamburgers? Mine is ambiguous, changing between ravenous appetite and nausea. There is a new Burger restaurant in the European Quarter. Went there yesterday with two collegues. Very stylish venue. I took the 150 g New York version with bacon and cheddar plus French fries and sauce barbeque. First I liked it, but the more I ate of that stuff the more I felt like beeing shortly before bursting. Left the restaurant thinking: never again.
