Pig's kidney and kale curry (with coconut milk and tomatoes) with rice, and yoghurt with fig jam in it for dessert.

A large steamed artichoke plucked and dipped in olive oil and salt. And then the base cut up and dipped in the same mix. Lemon would be nice too.

I just finished an excellent breakfast......scrambled eggs with sharp cheddar, with a small piece of leftover, rare, New York strip steak, and half of a leftover baked potato......shredded to make hash browns.

I'm eating something that I absolutely DON'T need !!!! ....peanut brittle candy. My dad is 89 years old, and has learned to cook a little since my mom's death. He attempted a batch of peanut brittle last night, and this morning he brought me a small container of it to try. It's not the best I've ever had, but it's not the worst either! The flavor is actually quite good, but it's a little sticky.

Breakfast......a three-egg omelet made with leftover stir-fry veggies and cheddar cheese, and topped with salsa, with a slice of rye toast and a cup of strong, black coffee.
