I just come back from the Tuesday market in Brussel's European quarter. Excellent fishmonger there every week. That's why Tuesday has become our fish day in the family. Today I'll serve sea bass with porcini mushrooms and olive oil wrapped with kitchen foil and bakced in the oven. Delicious. The simple recipes are the best.

Roasted a squash yesterday and afterwards added it to a tomato-based sauce which had garlic, a little courgette (zucchini?), peas, tandoori, paprika, cloves and tumeric spices with coconut butter as the oil.
Shared it with my 19 month old who also had pasta shapes to keep him amused!
And this morning, I finished off the left-over squash that didn't go into the sauce in an omelette. But, I don't recommend it in an omelette - the combo of squash and egg didn't work as well as when it was in the sauce. Maybe needed a bit more seasoning, herbs and/or spices....

Our usual Friday lunch at Mayo's Seafood Restaurant, In Bayboro......scallops, shrimp, baked sweet potato and pumpkin cheesecake for desert. :)

I am eating cheese puffs in a show of really poor nutrition, but I need to harden and prepare my digestive system for the American Feasting Cycle about to begin 10/31. 🎃 🦃 :noel:

In 20 minutes I will go to my favorite Chinese restaurant in the European quarter and eat a hot pot with meat, noodles and soy beans. Very hot stuff, based on a Sechuan recipe.

Just finished breakfast. I sautéed chopped up onion, orange bell pepper & halved grape tomatoes in olive oil, and when it was about half done, I cracked a couple of eggs on top of it, and added chopped up filet mignon (a small chunk leftover from supper last night) and crumbled feta cheese....didn't scramble it....just let it sit there and simmer a few minutes. mmm! MMMMM!! :)

Lunch of Beef pot pie: round steak with onions, potatoes, carrots, peas and beef gravy covered with flaky crust. This was the 2nd time around for the pie, constructed for Monday's dinner. Shared with the dog. She liked it so much, she did the dishes. :lol:

My wife went ALL OUT today for lunch!!!! ..... a bowl of Campbell's Beef & Vegetable soup and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
That's something I hadn't had in ages, but it was fitting.....it's chilly and drizzly. .....a soup kinda' day.
