What are you currently reading?

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

Not reading, but listening to catch 22 by Joseph Heller. The narrator is excellent and I'm finding the book really funny. Quirky humour.

"Goodwood" by Holly Throsby. An excellent, enjoyable book by a first time writer. Quintessentially Australian

in atmosphere, colloquialisms and environment. (Probably, mostly, understandable for foreigners  )

Life; An Unauthorised Biography, by Richard Fortey.
As the cover says, this is a natural history of the first 4,000,000,000 years of life on Earth. It is not, as you might suppose, a dull science book, but a fascinating, entertaining and beautifully written book. I'm 3,500 million years in so far, with 1000 million to go (page 77 out of 371). 'Life has now reached a single, large, but complex cell, the kind of small thing that might once have been imagined arising from the progenitive broth'.
The pace picks up from here on!

"a single, large, but complex cell". I wonder if it would go out on a date with me?

I started reading, "Without Mercy," but just couldn't get interested in it, so I quit it and started reading, "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court," by Mark Twain.
