What sheet music did you buy last and why?

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

Not properly a sheet music, but just received Hubert Käppel's The Bible of Classical Guitar Technique. Just started reading it, very interesting... :)

Music is a big continent with different landscapes and corners. Some of them I do visit frequently, some from time to time and some I know from hearsay only ...

I purchased "The Huge Book of Classical Guitar Tab:" that was digital only and could not be converted into a PDF format for about $36USD. This needed Chrome and Google Play, that I had to install first. I thought I had a great deal until I realized you could do nothing with it! Not even make a PDF of any pages. This was a 400 page fantastic book, but I had to ask for a reimbursement and got that immediately. I now have been trying to purchase the paperback edition, but it seems all sold out.

My last purchase was Preludio & Cancion Triste by Carlos Farinas, however I have just been notified by the supplier that these pieces are now on back order and it could take another 4-8 weeks to receive them. :chaud:

The Godfather arranged by Giuseppe Torrisi.

I saw a few YouTube videos and ordered three of his arrangements, one with lots of tremolo.

A couple of posts up I mentioned that I bought the digital "The Huge Book of Classical Guitar Tab:" from Amazon, but found out I could not copy or make a PDF from the book, but saw a good deal of classical music that I really wanted to have it. All of it was in Notes and tab and the book, in my mind, would be one of the best for new to intermediate or better.

I had to go hunting to see if I could get a paper copy and did. It cost me more, but I am totally satisfied with it.

I don't know how anybody could use the Chrome Play digital version, it appears you only can read the music off the screen with no annotations available.

Cheers

I just got "Pumping Nylon". I think most of the excercises are out of my ability yet (as I'm pretty much a beginner). But I'll save it for later.

I bought the Tecla 101 " Sor, the complete studies and exercises. I bought it because I actually know very few classical pieces, and there was a thread about learning OP 60. Now I have it, and have yet to start it. Been busy teaching my daughter the Aguado study from Ben Bolts 39 progressive solos for classical guitar. She has had the guitar for a year and hasn't touched it, and said she wanted to pick it up again. She has learned 8 out of 16 measures. She is a total noob.

Since I have been enjoying the series of little blues pieces being posted by Marek Cupak in Our recordings of Contemporary music I decided to get the music. So Blues and Jazz Preludes for Classical Guitar by Alexander Vinitsky arrived today. I think I shall enjoy getting the feel for these. Thanks to Marek for the introduction.

I like very much Andrew York's "Home", which he played on YT on a beautiful Torres.
But sadly the Torres has been sold already, so I only bought the music fom Andrew's website.

I just bought The World's Favorite Series No. 123, Selected Masterpieces for the Classic Guitar, Volume 6 for the Couperin pieces in it. It was mentioned in the sheet music forum. It's no longer in print and I couldn't get any library to do an inter-library loan. There is a sheet music vendor right in my Twin Cities who bought out some sheet music business many years ago. She runs her business out of her house in Saint Paul and has things that aren't to be found anywhere else. I thought to look on her website and she happened to have one copy of this book.
