Sorry @doug, I realise your punctuation is careful but it did rather enjoyably conjure a picture of one smart bird.

I've had many different hobbies/interest over the years (my wife calls them obsessions). I used to play a lot of chess. I reached a Master Level and stopped. I recently donated my collection of over 300 books on chess tho the Public Library. I've been riding horses since I was very young, this led to careers in horse training, breeding, farriery and blacksmithing.
I think that once you start making money, the threshold form hobby to job has occurred.
I guess my most consistent hobby, has been martial arts, for more than 50 years.

Viola, wine, reading, games, composing.
Armed with Book, Forum, and Guitar, I will bare my teeth and face the world! Music is a way of thinking, an art. There is nothing more demanding, and nothing more rewarding.

"In music I think it's very, very dangerous if you start to compare and say, 'This is good, this is not good, this is only one possibility' . . . there are so many possibilities, but what is important is to be open to that." - Pavel Steidl
