D'addario ej45's...seem fine here!

Stephanie Jones plays Adagio bwv 1001 on a Ruck at Sicca's guitars...with Ej45's and a Savarez Alliance 3rd.

Lovely. She is a very fine young talent.

I can only wonder what it might have sounded like with good strings!

That may be true! I found her video after listening to Optichero (sorry I probably have that wrong) who's real name is Kevin Low play Bach beautifully on this very site. Very different tonalities between the two players, but too many variables to trace it to strings alone.

I'm trying Augustine classic Black mt/lt next in my slow motion experiment with brands other than D'addario.

Peter, shame on you...that's my exact string combo - EJ45s with an Alliance third. :D

The guitar was made by Michel Brück, not Robert Ruck. Great guitar, fantastic playing.

 In my own defense, I was distracted by her playing.

You are very lucky indeed! The only way you can go from here is up, so you should be happy!! I see you have taken the most important first step in getting rid of that horrid G string. :D

My experiences with EJ45 were not really good, especially the G string. It sounds quite dull in some guitars I tried :/. Or I had the fake ones :/

Very nice playing of this awesome Bach piece! I think even her strings sound good! Thanks for posting.

They had it miked incorrectly. Nobodys left hand could actually be that noisy. Her playing was awesome though. As far as the sound of the strings, the First string sounds a little pingy. She should see about using real strings though. Sorry MrF1.

they sound good but did you compare with savored forum ARJ? I look for a new set, and hesitate.
