I concur the Imperial is a good match. You might also consider the Mari 100p as well. It goes brilliantly with Cantiga.

Thanks everyone. Augustine Imperial will be the first try and hopefully I can find some Mari 100p as well....not sure if SBM sell Mari

As Peter suggested, the Mari 100p with the Cantiga basses is a nice combination. They are available from Ostrie Music Supply.

Hello Delcampers,

Had to chime in on this one although string guru's recommendations are good enough..

Can pair savarez cantinga basses (Really very nice) with...

1] Savarez Cristal Rouge...very very bright,not thin sounding at all

2] Augustine Regal...great sound but the trebles are temperature sensitive (not tried Imperials as yet)

3] Marie 100p & 200p (good strings and very reasonable trebles but not my favourite)
