Oh, for the gent with the Ramirez 2NE, my daughter has a 2NE that sounds really good with Savarez 520R. The trebles are rectified, and are very sweet.
Agree, really like 520's, if you like light tension the 520B's are nice.
I haven't tried the low tension Savarez on my daughter's guitar, as it was set up with 520R, with a fairly low action, but I did use the 520B on my Ramirez GH, and really liked them. Sustain for days with those strings. They are just a couple of pounds lighter, tension wise, than the D'Addario EJ45.

For a tone that is bright and sweet I like Augustine Imperial MT or Regal HT.

Recently i fell in love with Hannabach silver special blu HT. On my Ramirez they are really sweet sounding and the silver plated copper round wound on basses is smoother than Augustine blu, that are also excellent strings but a little bit noiser, expecially if you have dry hands.

I agree, I just put Augustine classic on my son’s CG, and the bass strings were very scratchy sounding, noisy. I can’t believe that I used to use them. The Ramires and D’Addario were much quieter.
