This is a story about my granddaughter. I got her a uke last year for Christmas. I put Aquila nylgut on it. She is 3 years old. She lays it on her lap to strum it. She had drank a big glass of milk prior to playing and threw up into the uke. I had to cut the strings off to clean out and save the Uke. So I ordered some Chinese uke strings, just in case it happened again.
Now I ordered a Chinese brand, Debbie Ukulele strings. They were black nylon the same as came on the uke, and I tell you they sound the same. Not spectacular, but pretty good sounding on the cheap laminated uke. The Aquila were spectacular, but too expensive to destroy.
The strings were not fakes, ie not knock offs of famous brands. Have any of you had any experience with strings from a legit Chinese brand, and if so, what were they, and how much did they Cost? And were they any good? Describe them please.
