Thank you! The African Blackwood really looks like Brazilian Rosewood! It's really not that difficult to play. The first six courses are tuned like a lute, (on guitar, g string to f# and a capo on the 3rd fret). The rest ar just open basses, tuned however you need. It's great to just drop an ending cadence an octave! The biggest difficulty is that because of the fingerboard width, you cannot see your left hand fingers at all!

Playing it shouldn't be a problem for me. I'm used to play on a thirteen string guitar and I almost never look at my left hand. I don't try to memorize anything anymore so I have to keep my eyes on the music!

What a beauty! I think archlutes are some of the most beautiful instruments. Nice that the cat found a comfortable place to be too :D
