Anon. - Misirlou (trad.) - Lute

Post by Isabelle Frizac » Mon Apr 03, 2017 10:37 am

Misirlou, a very popular theme around the Mediterranean basin.

"The thousand and one nights" would be the inspiration.

Nice work, I wish I could record well, I make so many mistakes because of stage fright even when there is no "stage".

It sounds pretty!

Thanks Ashepps for your comment :D

It is necessary to know the musical piece, and to play by forgetting the recorder (or the public!).
I have to record sometimes several times, because there is sometimes a finger that slips next to the neck  or an extra note incongruous  ....
Question of patience. :chaud:

Thanks for the recording, Isabelle! I only knew this tune as a "surf rock" hit, but it was very beautiful to hear in on a lute. :)

This sounds so really good! Has a middle eastern European sound to it, very nice! Thank you for posting it.

Nicely played. I also have heard the tune played surf guitar style.....until now! Sounds very med/middle eastern. Like it.
