Excellent performace as usual, Jounis. :bravo:

What I like about Jounis' playing is his control: he plays every note in a well-controlled, deliberate and unforced manner, all which makes his performance very clear and even (rhythmically, that is). That makes his performance always a pleasure to hear.

Jouni, your music making goes straight to the heart (my heart anyway). Absolutely brilliant. And those deep basses on the extra string: WOW!! :casque:
:merci: so much!

Jouni, what you say - about the beauty of music growing from the single note, then to the phrase and the sentence - is musical wisdom. This is the way to penetrate inside the notes and to bring out their real meaning. The emotion that comes from the playing in this mp3, is the real emotion of the music itself, not the artificial emotion imposed by the performers vanity.
I agree totally with both you and Hybrid that constant praise is meaningless, but what I say here is what I mean.
Denian, that's the biggest compliment I've ever had. And I mean that. Thanks, it really means a lot!

Thanks to everyone else for the overwhelming comments, too! I'm quite surprised on the feedback for this recording. I wasn't actually very happy with the results myself because I had problems concentrating on the playing well enough. The software crashed once, planes were flying over all the time, then the phone rang, and once I recorded from the wrong input sources, resulting an empty track :-)

:merci:

Wow Jounis that is a beautiful interpretation.

I, like Denian, keep playing this piece over and over again.

I love the slower tempo, it gives the music a serene quality and it really breathes.

It reminds me of Glen Gould's second recording of the Goldberg variations where he played the Aria slow and dreamy which gives the music an almost austere quality.

Congratulations on another fantastic performance.

Magnificent performance,
My comments are only as a member of a very appreciative audience who loves to listen to and enjoy the beauty of a highly skilled classical guitarist play brilliantly.
I would never in this lifetime attempt any form of a critique for improvement, but I do want to express my genuine admiration and appreciation of this performance.
Thank you
:merci:

A beautifully controlled & very lyrical performance, you brought out the yearning melancholy of this piece very admirably. You produce a great sound from your instrument as well and your effortless technique is all in service of the music.

Thanks very much for sharing! :D :merci:

Great playing, a bit restrained, as it should be for such music imo. Very enjoyable :merci:
