This forum has been an inspiration to me. I've been sitting here going through the MP3's for the songs I'm working on. Although I had already figured out how they go, I had little appreciation for just how beautiful they could sound. Till now I've been definitely uninspired by the likes of the Sor exercises 3, 4, and 5. They have seemed like just a bunch of random notes put together with very little musical meaning. :russa: After listening to them (at least 3 and 4, 5 doesn't work) I'm beginning to see something there worth trying to get out.

Right now I'm working on the Carulli Ballet in D Minor. Sylvie's rendition of this piece was just beautiful. :okok: His/her sense of rhythm and dynamics brought out the feelings that were there just hiding behind the notes.

Thanks for doing this, and thank you sylvie for contributing your talent and skill to help others (me especially). :merci:

Hey deansprague, Syl is a "she" as in Sylvie (otherwise known on the French forum...).
Indeed Sylvie and Woodibou have a lot of patience and no need to say that any of their inetrepretations are always dlightful, even the simplest tunes.
I see that others are contributing as well, that's a great momentum!

Thanks JF et al. indeed greatly appreciated!

Yes, I have been communicating with Sylvie through private messages and she seems delightful; accomplished, patient, helpful, and encouraging.

I suppose the whole group should know she's a woman, so they don't make the same mistake. It wasn't obvious to me by the name. (I'm sooo american.... )
