If I remember correctly, those checkmarks are leftovers from courses way back, i.e. they used to mean something, now they serve no actual purpose but are still there.

That's right, I asked M. Delcamp about them last year, and he explained that they used to identify those pieces which were an essential part of the classical guitarist's studies, but they are no longer in use, as he has changed the score collections a number of times since then and has not updated the checkmarks. I would guess that they are still a reasonable indication that a marked piece is going to be useful to study, but the absence of a checkmark does not mean that a piece is not also one of the useful ones.

I am so obsessed with this forum. Saying thank you for all these resources and your time isnt enough...but I'll say it anyway. Thank you, Prof. Delcamp.

Hello May, are you the same person who asked for a change of username here? viewtopic.php?f=22&t=82218&p=889347#p889347

If you are, then you already have an account, and can log in with your full name (including a space in the middle) and your previous password.

If you are not the same person, please start by introducing yourself here.
(There are some ideas on things to say, if you need any, here).

Could you give me access to these scores so I can follow along with the lessons?

Thanks!

Sorry, Mike. You need to have made 20 posts and register to the 020 Group in your Control Panel to access these levels.

It shouldn't take you very long! :)

Thank you for the quick reply! I'm sure I can make it to 20 fast. I actually have quite a few videos I've taken in the past of my playing and I'd like to get some feedback. Would it make sense to post them in the lessons area even though they aren't assigned?

No. Only registered students can post there, and only the assigned pieces. You are welcome to post them in the appropriate recording sections that you'll find on the Index page. Just be sure that the compositions and arrangements are Public Domain.

We'll be looking forward to hearing them!

Alan
