Mazurka Choro-Lobos Fingering issues

Postby Ryan Delaney » Mon Mar 02, 2015 9:07 pm

Hi all,

I've been trying to play Mazurka for some time, but I think some of the difficulty lies in my poor fingering. I can't find any sheet music that has detailed fingerings so hopefully someone has some ideas.

Measures 6 and 7 (not counting the pickup note) in the minor A section give me a lot of trouble. Measure 7 is the second to last measure before the repeat. Any ideas?

The first two measures in the major B section also awkward. I've tried a few different fingerings, but it still feels awkward. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Ryan,
Do a Google search "mazurka choro villa lobos pdf" and you should find what I found, it was at the top of the results..looked like some decent fingering.

Could I bump this please? I'm also having trouble with the second measure of the B section and I really don't like what I'm forced to do in 3rd position like that PDF says. I mean it works I guess, but it's very awkward and hard to make clean.
