La Paloma by S. Yradier, arrangment by Francisco Tarrega

Post by EffieMc » Wed Apr 26, 2017 9:39 am

Hi!
I am new...so forgive me if I missed anything while trying to follow the rules....
I am trying to locate the arrangement for La Paloma by S. Yradier, transcribed for classical guitar by Francisco Tarrega. I could see that someone asked the question before but I an not able to access or see the file that has been sent to him! This music surely in the public domain, as I am after the original by Tarrega.

Many thanks for any help!
Effie

I have it but have no idea where I got it. Send me a message with your email and I'll send it to you. I also have a slightly easier version similar to Tarregs's that I did myself. Your welcome to both.

Looks like Virtual Sheet Music has it - unless you want it for free.

You may want to consider forking over the money and obtaining the version that the Romero family plays, which is available in the anthology "Angel Romero - Bella: The Incomparable Artistry Of Angel Romero". This anthology, though under $20, contains all Angel's arrangements of the songs that appear on his exquisite "Bella" CD.

Here's Celino's interpretation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLM5dNwxnHQ

Here's Pepe's interpretation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLtBJcaY1kw

Here's Angel's interpretation, which, typical of Angel's style, is faster than the others: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXgR6BB-3Qc

This essentially is Tarrega's version, but with some added measures at the end, which I think work very well.

You can also find it on Delcamp at http://www.guitareclassiquedelcamp.com/ ... itare.html - Click on the last link on the right, "Pascual Roch, A modern method for the guitar, School of Tárrega, volume 3", and see page 87, 88. These books also include many other great transcriptions by Tarrega.
Best regards,
Malan
