Auld Lang Syne - Video

Post by Giuseppe Torrisi » Mon Dec 16, 2013 9:05 am

Tests for the School Christmas Concert...My arrangement for solo guitar of a famous traditional folk song well known especially in the English-speaking world, performed in unison by my Students of the Middle School " Nino Martoglio", a musical school in Belpasso (Catania, Italy). This "technique" (more guitars playing a piece for solo guitar) comes in handy, besides stimulating, because it allows the students to grapple with challenging polyphonic pieces, without the "responsibility" that, generally, has to take a soloist. Oh Giuseppe, I loved watching. The kids did a great job. And it is my favorite song of all time. I'll listen at midnight on New Year's Eve, and as always it will bring tears to my eyes.

Thanks for sharing, and a very Happy New Year to you and your family and all the kids.

Enjoyable and, no doubt, the students enjoyed themselves too. Well done.
