I've had my Adjustrite Folding Musician's Chair for a many months now. I've got no complaints, in fact I'm pretty sure it's lengthened my practice sessions because I'm not squirming around to adjust my back.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I have the Original Guitar Chair (because it's so pricey). But I do and I love it. It's holding its cushion perfectly. Great support for my back. Great design. Highly portable. It will last forever, so it's not so pricey after all, pro-rated.

I see they focused on making the height adjustable, which is great - but how is the seat? I find my issue is usually the cushion.

Here's a vote for the Original Guitar Chair. Well made, comfortable, and great support for your back.

The fabric is heavy duty. It looks and feels like it will last forever. The seat cushion has about 1-1/4" or so of good, firm padding. Since I sit at work all day, I'd normally opt for more padding for my poor tired bottom, but honestly the adjustrite's seat hasn't been an issue for sessions lasting an hour or more (at which point I'd usually get up to move around anyway).

I bought one from soundseat, it arrived a couple of weeks ago.
So far excellent chair, very comfortable, with great height adjustment.
I got mine with an added footplate.

a good adjustable piano bench (like the ones you see on concert stages) is my first choice for performances. i can't afford one for my home though.

my favorite guitar chair is an old (1950s vintage) folding chair that i rescued from a dumpster 25 years ago. It is wood, has sturdy metal hinges, and has a flat, very lightly padded seat. I dont know why i like it so much; it must be the ugly green vinyl cushion.

I just ordered an Original Guitar Chair. I will push my thoughts in a few weeks (2 weeks waiting time then 7-10 days for postal delivery).

I use a drummer's throne. Really comfortable seat, adjustable height, and it swivels, which I really like.
