Logan do you have a music program on your aid? It may be the compression and noise reduction features that are causing your guitar to sound tinny. A music program will disable those features when in use and possibly restore the fullness of sound that you're missing.

"I don't have too much trouble with music, just conversation."

I fractured my temporal bone, ruptured my ear canal, and have some nerve damage as well. My equilibrium goes out about every six months, and I have constant tinnitus, I cant stand complete silence. one thing I learned in my trips to various specialists is that people have a dominant ear, in regards to conversation anyway. for most people, its is the right ear, or at least I was told. I have a lot of trouble following a conversation, especially if there is more than one person involved. Music comes through much clearer, to the point if there is background music at a party or something, I can barley follow any conversation.

Much of what I do hear out of my right ear is very distorted. I've finally broke down and got a decent guitar, solid top back and sides, some sort of fancy satin finish on the neck , and man, the tactile feedback makes such a difference.

Of course, I am in the poor hearing category .Received my New hearing aids last week . Much better than the old ones. Have an app programmed for playing music. Takes away the tin sound of treble strings always wondered if Segovia suffered hearing loss when he gave up hs Hauser.
