The Ramirez 1A is a superb guitar. Thanks for the video recordings of it. And the many other records on YouTube. Also much enjoyed.
By the way, I ended up with the Malapanis #64, spruce/birdseye maple back and sides.. You may be interested to know that I put a fossil mammoth saddle on the guitar and that this greatly improved the sound quality. The guitar also now has a better set-up which eliminated a very minor tendency towards bass buzz when driven. I almost resold the #64 but I am very glad I did not, because the instrument played in especially well. So well in fact that I think that if I had to choose between selling the Malapanis #64 or the Malapanis #31 (also now mine), I'd be powerfully tempted to keep the #64.
