Brazillian Rosewood Back & Sides
This guitar was constructed by Ignacio M. Rozas in 1997. Rozas apprenticed as a guitar maker with José Ramirez, working there from 1959 to 1969. After leaving Ramirez, he worked for Manuel Contreras (also a former Ramirez Luthier) until 1987 when he set up his own shop. Ignacio M. Rozas is considered one of the great Luthiers that came out of Jose Ramirez III School, like Bernabe, Contreras and Manzanero.
It combines a typical Spanish character with a big and bold projection and refinement of the highest level, with great depth in every single note, excellent separation, and substance. The bass is rich and profound, the mid powerful and the trebles rounded and clear. The guitar is capable of filling a concert hall.
The guitar is in excellent condition with no cracks or repairs. Playability is excellent, the action perfect, the tone has that certain magic found in matured guitars on this level only.
