This Yamaha guitar, model GC-10M, ("M" stands for MATSU= Pine/Spruce) was made in 1977 and signed by Toshio Kato, one of the best luthiers that Yamaha ever had.

This GC-10M is a stunning guitar both visually and tonally. The guitar is in excellent cosmetic & functional shape and has been well taken of and has virtually no play wear. It has a few small, pinhead size dings along the edge of the top plate. There are some very minor/tiny chips and dings, scratches and swirls marks (just to be on the safe side), not visible at all at first glance. The frets are in excellent condition but there are some very light fingering divots on the fingerboard itself. This guitar is constructed of a Honduras Mahogany neck, spruce top, a beautiful dark and dense ebony wood fingerboard and nicely grained rosewood back and sides. The guitar plays so light and easy. It is a traditional fan bracing. It has good volume, tonally rich and complex and smooth with a sweet, clear treble response. Great projection and resonance. This is a true professional grade instrument.

The action setup at 12 fret: 1st string - about 3.5mm, 6th string - about 4mm.

I have too many guitars, and spending 90% of the time with my '75 Sakazao Nakade No.3000, and the Yamaha GC-10M would be much happier with someone who will spent more time with her.

This is a beautiful guitar and also a great collectible item. Unfortunately Bainbridge Island does not belong to the EU, otherwise I would buy it immediately.

Thank you for the compliment. I always baby of my instrument.

Come to think of it, Bainbridge Island is just as far as a post office away from EU.

The problem is that, independent on the bureaucracy (CITES plus Fish and Wildlife documents), the final price would be about $2000 (documents, shipping, VAT, and import taxes). If you can find someone (yourself?) who can bring the guitar "per magic" into the EU, then we have a deal :)

Officialdom is the price one pays for freedom, isn't it?

Looks like I have to look up Virgin Air's web-site for the most economic way to visit Europe. I wonder if they fly out from Seattle? :)

I do not have any sound tracks on this guitar.

Honestly, I have never done a sound track recording on guitar playing before, and do not know how to do it. It will take me some time and effort to research + learn + experiment to get something out, and would take some more further effort to get something semi-decent.

In other words, I do not think I could get something that is representative of this guitar in the next couple of months.

I used to have a 1977 GC10M too,
I still miss the incredible sweet treble of it.
