Hi Ludwig, are you kind enough to let everyone here interested to buy this guitar know if this has a CITES ? Thank you!

It has no CITES, but it is not Brazilian Rosewood as far as I know! It is South American Rosewood, but not Dalbergia Nigra!

I'm 100% certain this is not Dalbergia Nigra. If you buy this guitar within EU there are no problems what so ever.

Correct. It's ok as long as you are private seller/buyer.

I wonder if Sakurai ever made any 640 scale guitars. I might try to buy this one if it were 640.

He has and he does. But let's get back to this thread. This is a great price at a great guitar!

This guitar is so easy to play, that I guess you won't feel a difference between the existing scale and your "wish-scale".

I have just finished watching the Sakurai documentary. It's worth watching for a number of reasons and even if you are not considering purchasing this guitar it's quite informative in relation to the construction of classical guitars. He is quite an extraordinary man and extraordinary Luthier. If I was living in Austria rather than Australia I would be adding this to my collection. Good luck with the sale.

Sending the guitar to Australia is not a problem at all, it is a bit more expensive, but not much. I sold some guitars to Australia in the past and everything went smooth.
