US $..950 Esteve 8 cedar 2015, Irvine CA

Post by Debussychopin » Sun Jun 11, 2017 5:15 pm

Excellent condition Esteve 8
$950

Why? Trying to unload all my guitars. I love this one but I haven't touched a guitar in few months. I'm back on piano full time and don't know when or if I'll go back to guitar.
I'll try to get photos soon
Pm me thanks

Can you provide photos of the Alhambra and describe its condition?

Sorry to hear that you may be giving up on playing guitar, Debussychopin! If I remember correctly, you spent a fair amount of time searching for guitars with a strong Spanish sound before buying the Esteve.

Email me at briiian13@yahoo.com and I will give you my phone number so I can text you pics in real time
It is excellent condition

Tstrembu, thanks, I just don't spend any more time in it. I play piano and it takes up most of my free time.
Rather just turn the guitars lying around into useful cash and then pick up a plain Cordoba c5 in the distant future if I ever want to dabble in it again

Pending sale
Still excellent almost mint condition. May be better than some esteves hanging around for a year or two at a brick n mortar being tire-kicked.

Thanks

Quick and simple, don't have to hassle w constant tire-kicking and cost to ship. Off my hands.

Sent a text. 95% sure I want the Esteve just need the addition photos and info I requested.

Sure looks like a sweet guitar. I am looking forward to doing an A-B-C with my Cordoba C9 and Larrivee L35.

Mark
Let me set a scenario into your mind (since I've been where you are sincerely , holding onto a c9 or equivalent guitar, speculating on something more ):

You buy this Esteve for 800 dollars and you receive it w joy and it blows you away in its character.
You look at your c9 and scoff at it
You play w the Esteve for awhile, but find out that the c9 is comparable perhaps.
After a few months you find yourself picking up the c9 bc it sounds resonant and 'spanishy' when you put the right strings on it. And play certain repertoire.
You find out c9 is your go-to guitar and kind of figure perhaps I should sell the Esteve
You sell the Esteve
You play the c9 for the rest of your days.

Brian,

First of all, thank you! Our text message is one of the longest "first contact" texts on my phone! lol

I hear you and I think I will just play my C9 and my L35 Larrivee for the time being. The C9 will probably be sold soon as will the L-03 custom I told you about. I am really gassing for a 12 string and the $800 I was going to spend on the Esteve, is about half of the funds needed for that. The sale of the C9 and the L-03 will easily provide the balance required. I can live with my L35 for many years. Being 40 years old, it has a very sweet, warm tone compared to the C9.

I think you should keep the Esteve. ;)

Mark, the Esteve is still up for sale, I just recommended you to give it a second thought. Just text me if you really want it if you change your mind in the future after really weighing out your options

If you're set on getting a 12 string , then by all means, I wish you the best in that pursuit.
