GB £.1400 Stephen Hill (1a-commission) spruce 2005, Stockport, England - (Withdrawn)

Classical Guitar by Stephen Hill
Year: 2005
Nut: 52mm
Scale Length: 680mm
Top: Spruce
Fan Braced
Indian Rosewood Back and Sides
Ebony Fingerboard
Absolutely outstanding tone!!! Deep, rich 'Granada' type sound, Cello-like basses, rounded, ringing trebles with incredible sweetness.
Good to Very Good Condition. Recently looked over and given full seal of approval by local luthier.
£1500
Viewing possible at my teaching studio in Poynton, Cheshire.

Fantastic, first class Stephen Hill Guitar, a commission from 2005. I emailed the luthier directly for information on the instrument when I bought it second-hand, and he told me he built it himself (not one of his apprentices) and it is the highest level of guitar he makes - so in-line with his 1a, except this one is unique, with its slightly longer scale length. There is a small, very thin, transparent golpe plate below the back of the sound hole, which I believe is part of the design/commission. £1500 but I would consider a swap with a concert cedar guitar, any luthier.

Needless to say, this is an absolutely fantastic, once in a lifetime price for a good condition Stephen Hill! Please PM me to come and try.

Wow £1,700 for what is effectively a Hill 1A? Great price, even with the longer scale. Good luck with the sale!

Yes it is! Really easy to play though, I don't notice the difference between the Hill and my other guitars at 660/650.

Price lowered to £1500 as I am listing on a public auction site at my original price, where of course there are costs/fees etc.

I want to now add that I visit Birmingham some weekends (Solihull), so trying this guitar in the West Midlands is also possible.
