Lots of glissando in the opening. This is a treasure hearing Llobet play the instrument!

Wow! I guess it was the gut strings that add to the mellowness! Really nice sound!

Wonderful to hear him play. Somewhere I have a cd of him with the same feeling of playing: a certain quick urgency of movement in both his hands, probably emphasized by the gut strings and the recording device of the day. Seems like there was a significant microphone development around 1927. Is this from before that?
