Tárrega, Francisco - Rosita, polka

Postby Tom Poore » Sun Jan 17, 2016 3:54 am

An old recording of mine in which the sound is a bit iffy. But I like the performance, so here it is. The paintings are by James Wells Champney (1843-1903).

Very well done, Tom. This one of my Tarrega favorites.

Thanks. My performance hovers around a tempo of 80. To be honest, I’d like it better a little above 90. My fingers disagree. I’ve tried negotiating with them, but fingers apparently don’t respond well to negotiation. Maybe I should threaten them with a steak knife.

I didn't agree with you that sound is iffy. I don't satisfied with my sound and to me this is very nice sound.
Like you interpretations, too. Very playfully and charming. Basses are strong and meet recording.
Best wishes, Bertran II

Thank you for posting and playing such a delightful piece! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The paintings are attractive and notable too (I shall do a little research on them!).
Regards,
Ro0bert.
